Establishment and empowerment of over 50 youth & women groups (2021-2022, Ninewa, Kirkuk, Anbar, Salah al-Din, Diyala, funded by UNDP)

Project objective and description:
The project aims to launch a call to submit a request for the establishment of the three groups (one youth group, two women’s groups) in the target locations of the five governorates above, which are the areas of return of the displaced, ensuring that each group reflects all components and areas. Each group should consist of 15-20 members with the current structure of youth and women groups and their members reviewed in the target location and restructured as needed to ensure that each group reflects all components, domains and gender. With a monthly meeting of group members to discuss issues related to developing their work, coordinating their activities, and communicating with other peace mechanisms in their areas. In addition to supporting youth and women groups to develop policies and internal processes for the teams and action plans, with a two-day training in initiative development (design and implementation), leadership, teamwork, micro-grant management, conflict analysis, gender and countering violent extremism for 10 youth and women groups (5 youth groups and 5 women's groups) in Anbar, Diyala, Salah al-Din, Nineveh and Kirkuk.
