Position Title:    Project Manager

Location:            [Kirkuk, Iraq]
Duration:           [ Two months, with the possibility of extension]

About Kurdistan Organization for Human Rights Watch:

Kurdistan Organization for Human Rights Watch (KOHRW) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization that was established in 1989 as a national NGO. KOHRW has contributed to humanitarian services and different development programs in the Kurdistan region and Iraq. KOHRW specializes in six areas of expertise: Human Rights, Protection, Shelter& WASH, Livelihood, Social Cohesion, and Education.

 


Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead planning, implementation, and monitoring of refugee-focused projects.
    • Ensure project objectives are achieved, focusing on the needs of refugee populations.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders, including donors, partner organizations, and refugee communities.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities and service providers for refugees.
    • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to donors and management.
    • Monitor risks, especially those related to the refugee context, and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Manage project staff and ensure that activities are aligned with refugee protection standards.
    • Ensure that project activities align with refugee protection laws and humanitarian principles.
    • Conduct regular field visits to monitor project progress and address any challenges.
    • Manage project documentation, including donor compliance requirements.
    • Facilitate training and capacity-building for staff on refugee-related issues.
