Position Title:    MEAL Officer

Location:            [Erbil, Iraq]
Duration:           [ Two months, with the possibility of extension]
Reports to:         MEAL  Manager



 

 

About Kurdistan Organization for Human Rights Watch:

Kurdistan Organization for Human Rights Watch (KOHRW) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization that was established in 1989 as a national NGO. KOHRW has contributed to humanitarian services and different development programs in the Kurdistan region and Iraq. KOHRW specializes in six areas of expertise: Human Rights, Protection, Shelter& WASH, Livelihood, Social Cohesion, and Education.

 


Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement a comprehensive MEAL framework for the project, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and KOHRW’s policies.
    • Develop monitoring tools and data collection methods to assess the project's progress against its goals and objectives.
    • Coordinate and conduct field visits to monitor project activities and gather data for analysis and reporting.
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of MEAL activities, including the preparation of regular progress reports.
    • Analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making and improve project implementation.
    • Facilitate learning sessions and knowledge sharing within the project team to promote continuous improvement.
    • Ensure accountability mechanisms are in place, including feedback systems to capture the perspectives of beneficiaries and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Finance Officer to ensure data-driven financial and programmatic decisions.
    • Contribute to donor reports and presentations by providing MEAL-related information and insights.


Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Social Sciences, or a related field.
    • At least five years of experience in MEAL, preferably within an NGO or international organization.
    • Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
    • Proficiency in using MEAL software and tools for data management.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Proficiency in English, Arabic, and Kurdish.
