Job Opening: Information Help Desk Staff
Introduction:
KOHRW implements a comprehensive protection program for refugees in partnership with UNHCR through the Community Service Center (CSC) in Kirkuk. The CSC serves as a dedicated space to provide critical protection services, including legal aid, case management, psychosocial support, and awareness sessions to refugees. This program aims to address the needs of refugees ensuring a safe and supportive environment while promoting social cohesion and protection for the most vulnerable populations.
The CSC’s goals include:
- Providing structured case management for survivors of violence and children at risk.
- Ensuring access to legal aid and rights-based protection services.
- Promoting awareness on available services and rights through community engagement.
- Offering technical support to strengthen local capacities and service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for beneficiaries visiting the CSC.
- Provide clear and accurate information on available services and referral pathways.
- Maintain updated records of all inquiries and ensure follow-ups as needed.
- Guide beneficiaries in completing forms or accessing resources.
- Support community engagement activities, including awareness sessions.
- Collaborate with case workers to facilitate smooth referrals.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on help desk activities and trends.
- Develop and maintain an e-filing system to securely store beneficiary inquiries, service details, and referral records, ensuring easy retrieval and organization of data.
