Job Opening: CP- Case Worker
Introduction:
KOHRW implements a comprehensive protection program for refugees in partnership with UNHCR through the Community Service Center (CSC) in Kirkuk. The CSC serves as a dedicated space to provide critical protection services, including legal aid, case management, psychosocial support, and awareness sessions to refugees. This program aims to address the needs of refugees ensuring a safe and supportive environment while promoting social cohesion and protection for the most vulnerable populations.
The CSC’s goals include:
- Providing structured case management for survivors of violence and children at risk.
- Ensuring access to legal aid and rights-based protection services.
- Promoting awareness on available services and rights through community engagement.
- Offering technical support to strengthen local capacities and service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Identify children at risk, including those facing abuse, neglect, exploitation, and other vulnerabilities.
- Conduct individual assessments using child-friendly and culturally appropriate tools.
- Develop comprehensive case plans based on the Best Interest Procedures (BIP).
- Coordinate with service providers for referrals, including psychosocial, educational, health, and shelter services.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with children and families to monitor progress and ensure services are delivered.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records in line with KOHRW’s data protection policies.
- Participate in case review meetings and provide input on child protection trends and gaps.
- Raise awareness on child protection issues within the community.
