Job Opening: Case Worker/ Violence against Women

 

 

Introduction:


KOHRW implements a comprehensive protection program for refugees in partnership with UNHCR through the Community Service Center (CSC) in Kirkuk. The CSC serves as a dedicated space to provide critical protection services, including legal aid, case management, psychosocial support, and awareness sessions to refugees. This program aims to address the needs of refugees ensuring a safe and supportive environment while promoting social cohesion and protection for the most vulnerable populations.

The CSC’s goals include:

  1. Providing structured case management for survivors of violence and children at risk.
  2. Ensuring access to legal aid and rights-based protection services.
  3. Promoting awareness on available services and rights through community engagement.
  4. Offering technical support to strengthen local capacities and service delivery.

 

Responsibilities:

 

        • Provide case management services for survivors of violence against women, ensuring a survivor-centered approach.
        • Conduct psychosocial assessments to determine needs and develop individualized case plans.
        • Facilitate safe referrals to specialized services, including legal, medical, and shelter support.
        • Provide emotional support and empowerment counseling to survivors.
        • Coordinate with local authorities, healthcare providers, and NGOs for multi-sectoral support.
        • Organize awareness sessions for communities on preventing violence against women.
        • Ensure strict confidentiality and uphold the principles of do no harm.
      • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in regular supervision and case conferences.
