Job Opening: Project Manager
Kurdistan Organization for Human Rights Watch (KOHRW) is an independent, non-profit, and non-governmental organization established in 1989 as a national NGO in Iraq. KOHRW has contributed to a range of humanitarian services and development programs throughout the Kurdistan region and Iraq. KOHRW works in 6 areas of expertise: Human Rights, Protection, Shelter & WASH, Livelihood, Social Cohesion, and Education.
KOHRW is recruiting a Project Manager to lead the [Supporting a Resilient Economic Recovery by strengthening the Agriculture and SME Sector in Saqlawia and Faluja District, Anbar Governorate]
Responsibilities:
- Planning and coordinating all aspects of the project, including designing timelines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring and reporting progress.
- Identifying, assessing and mitigating project risks to ensure that the delivery of programme outcomes is on time and within budget.
- Managing communication with all stakeholders including project team members, senior organization management, and donor agencies.
- Develop detailed project plans, including objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Ensure project design aligns with the overall goals and strategic direction of the organization and donor requirements.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the project.
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess project performance and impact.
Requirements:
- Must hold a Doctorate or master’s degree in a relevant field, such as management, communications, social sciences, human rights, or international development.
- Must possess over 5 years of management experience in civil society organizations, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
- Demonstrated skills in strategic planning, project management, capacity-building, and effective leadership of high-performing teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Fluency in Arabic, Kurdish, and English required.
