Kurdistan Organization for Human Rights Watch (KOHRW) is an independent, non-profit, and non-governmental organization established in 1989 as a national NGO in Iraq. KOHRW has contributed to a range of humanitarian services and development programs throughout the Kurdistan region and Iraq. KOHRW works in 6 areas of expertise: Human Rights, Protection, Shelter & WASH, Livelihood, Social Cohesion, and Education.

 

KOHRW is recruiting a Agriculture/Agribusiness Expert to support the [the [Supporting a Resilient Economic Recovery by strengthening the Agriculture and SME Sector in Saqlawia and Faluja District, Anbar Governorate]

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Provide expert advice on sustainable agricultural practices, crop and livestock management, and agribusiness development.
  • Develop and promote the adoption of innovative agricultural techniques and technologies to improve productivity and sustainability.
  • Design and deliver training programs for farmers, agribusiness owners, and project staff on best agricultural practices, agribusiness management, and value chain development.
  • Develop training materials and manuals tailored to the specific needs of the target groups.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Must hold a Doctorate or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as agricultural science, agricultural economics, or international development.

 

  • Must possess over 5 years of management experience in a similar capacity, preferably within or in relation to civil society organizations.

 

  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the agricultural field.

 

  • Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.

 

  • Ability to travel to sites of field work as needed.
